Fortunes Rocks Beach, Saco 

waves come and go

pushing and pulling

in their own rhythm 

following nature's order 
they do not resist
they do not move on their own

they are humble part of 

the life of the universe

today I downloaded an app for tide chart

to figure out the right tide for a long beach walk 

and the right tide to feel close to the water 

by honoring the rhythm of the ocean
without resisting
without drifting away

I feel like 

being part of 

the life of the universe

God's creation
 humble yet beloved
